Blogrolls: having your cake and eating it too

June 9, 2006: In putting together the site, I’ve thought at some length (way too much, actually) about whether to use a long blogroll or a short and pithy listing. I wanted both!

Therefore, I expanded the listings significantly and moved them to a categorized Links page with listings related to academia; courts; digital preservation and libraries; intellectual property, internet, and technology; privacy; and searching. You can use a drop-down list to limit the display to any of the specified categories.

Because the Links page now contains a full listing, I changed the main page’s blogroll to an abridged sampling of random links taken from the full listing. The Random Links list – found in the sidebar on the main page – contains ten random links that are updated every time you visit the site.
