My writings
I write about technology, internet law, intellectual property, procedure, and legal education. My current projects are about dead philosophers, live interwebs, the dangers of tech, and the interplay between procedure and technology.
IP certificate program
I'm also the founding director of St. Thomas Law's innovative new IP certificate program. The main courses feature immersive simulations so that you learn copyright, trademark, and patent law in a realistic context. Learn about studying IP law @ STU.
Civil Procedure
I've taught Civil Procedure to 1Ls for over 12 years and still love it. My site includes 100s of civ pro handouts, flowcharts, practice essays, and problem sets. Subjects covered include personal jurisdiction, subject matter jurisdiction, venue, and much much more.
YouTube channel
Visit my YouTube channel, with over 80 videos on pretty much every aspect of Civil Procedure. Over 1 million minutes viewed! There's also a video or two of me singing (badly) while playing electric guitar. Regarding the singing . . . it's bad so you've been warned!
